Systems Admin with LINUX - prefer 7+ years experience - Sys Admin who knows= how to program is ideal
Comfortable building VM's
Networking knowledge
Coding skills - prefer Python or GO programming (not just scripting)
How to deploy applications to a production environment in an Automated way = CICD
Some database experience - basic knowledge of how databases work - team use= s Postgres

Remote
Can be 100% remote
EST or MST are preferred - teams are within those 2 time zones


Scope - Development of a vital/critical application Stream Scanner and othe= r observability-based applications that provides operations the ability to = monitor and detect anomalies within the Viper video platform. This work wil= l require experience on the infrastructure and application side.

Will be responsible for the designing and implementation of these applicati= ons hardware software and infrastructure which will require a certain amoun= t of creativity. It is also expected that the performance of these applicat= ions will be monitored to identify when things need to be course corrected.
It is important that an applicant will be curious and ask questions to fill= in any identified knowledge gaps can work well with others and can communi= cate what they are doing to their manager and senior leaders. Participation= in team scrum ceremonies will also be a requirement.

While possessing a bachelors degree is preferred Comcast also may consider = applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience or who ha= ve extensive related professional experience. This position typically requi= res 7 years of related experience.

Skills Required:
Linux shell scripting RPM building Basic networking knowledge python3 or Go= or some coding language automation experience some examples are GitHub act= ions concourse ansible etc asynchronous development PostgreSQL or some data= base experience RabbitMQ or some queue knowledge HTML or JavaScript or some UI development experience git p= uppet Kubernetes curiosity patience agile familiarity and strong documentat= ion and communication skills.
